Product Marketing Manager Job Description


Job Overview
The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for creating awareness and demand for a product. They must gain an in depth understanding of the market and end user requirements by analysing feedback and competitor analysis to bring new products to market.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of the product life cycle including pricing strategy, positioning, promotion and product launches
- Provide Sales team with training and marketing support, including tools, key message points, selling strategies and USP’s
- Work with Sales, SEO, Graphic design and production to ensure optimisation of product marketing, sales execution and demand generation
- Manage the website alongside the product developers to ensure:

  • All product data and imagery is accurate and up to date
  • Website content is correct and engaging
  • Manage the internal product portfolio to ensure all product information on the systems is available and up to date

- Manages the commercial marketing, writing copy for Advertising, Sales collateral, E-Marketing, Trade show collateral and PR
- Utilise existing client and prospect database to generate demand and interest through regular and relevant communication
- Responsible for obtaining approval of marketing material

Skills / Attributes Required
- Degree in Marketing or similar
- Experience in Product Marketing
- Strong copy writing skills
- Knowledge of the full marketing mix
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent organisation and planning skills
- Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills
- Keen eye for detail
- Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines

Typical Salary Range: £30,000 to £50,000
