Receptionist / Administrator - Medical 

We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Administrator / Receptionist to come join our client within the independent healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will come from a medical or legal background as that prior experience will help them with complexity of the position. Our client is based in the Godalming area in an impressive state of the art clinic.  

This position will oversee the front desk duties of our client’s busy clinic, to ensure that customers are getting the best possible care and service. One of the key areas of the role is to manage the reception area in a professional manner including daily house-keeping duties. The post holder will also provide administrative support to the prosthetists, including making clinic appointments and maintenance of electronic diary, audiotyping, maintenance of electronic and paper clinical files and correspondence.

Other areas of the role include providing PA support to the director and clinic manager along with managing medico-legal instructions for expert reports. As post holder you would also be assisting with organising both in-house and external seminars whilst also entering supplier invoices into xero.  

As part of the process all candidates will be asked to undertake a quick online literature test due to the complexity of the role which means the successful candidate requires excellent medical literacy skills, good on-screen spelling availability along with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities / Skills required:

  • Manage the reception area in a professional manner including daily house-keeping duties;
  • Provide administrative support to the prosthetists, including making clinic appointments and maintenance of electronic diary, audiotyping, maintenance of electronic and paper clinical files and correspondence;
  • Provide pa support to the director and clinic manager;
  • Manage medico-legal instructions for expert reports;
  • Assist with organising both in-house and external seminars;
  • Entering supplier invoices into xero 
  • Day to day management of the facilities including organizing and checking cleaning, disposal of rubbish / recycling, maintenance of fire, intruder alarm, heating and ventilation systems. 
  • Any other administration / reception duties as required from time to time.
